I have copied recent blind drawings onto plain paper, away from the text, to use for paintings. It is interesting recreating a previously made blind drawing as it can never be created the same and it makes me think about the uniqueness of the originals. It also makes me aware of how strange my representations are of subjects when not looking at the page – they can come out completely distorted even when I feel like I’ve drawn them realistically. I also love the first moment I look at a drawing I’ve created to reveal what I have made.
